Isn't it nice to get a letter in the mail?

There are few things in life these days that can instantly put me in a good mood the way a real letter in the mail can. Most days I don't even bother to get the mail unless I'm expecting a package, because I know it will be nothing but bills or credit card offers and other forms of junk mail.

So imagine my delight when about a week before Christmas I got an unexpected package in the mail. The return address label said it was from M&H Type, and I thought that was odd because I hadn't ordered any type from them in a few years.

This is what I saw when I opened the box. "Isn't it nice to get a letter in the mail?"





Clever! So very clever! And I think even non-letterpress-type-loving folks will think this is awesome, and definitely an incredibly cool marketing campaign.

Like I said, I haven't ordered type from them in years, but this little package of joy reminded me of this type foundry, so I might just have to see about checking out their latest type catalog... (I sure hope the husband doesn't read this!)
