Wood hanging rails and shelves

For the shower curtain in the master bathroom, we've been thinking about using some sort of a system that hangs from the ceiling rather than attaching to the walls on either end of the tub.

I'm digging this hanging wood pole from Katrin Arens, and I wonder if we can get something like this to work.



I also really like the idea of this shelf and rail with iron supports for that bathroom.
