Well, shucks. I went and opened my big mouth last week and told you I was going to print something really great over the weekend for today's giveaway. But then I got some last minute "real" work on Friday night that ate up most of my weekend. Ah, the joys of the freelance lifestyle.
To make it up to you, this week I'll be picking TWO winners and each will receive a set of 6 of these A6 (4.5" x 6.25") flat notecards with a floral print, with matching envelopes. This week each person can enter up to two times. As usual, please enter by noon EST this Friday, November 20.
It happens to be my birthday this week, so I'll be heading out of town on Friday. The destination is still a secret, so if I don't have internet access to post the winners on Friday night, I'll post them on Monday.
I'll select one winner at random, but I'll choose the other winner. Just tell me about the best birthday you ever had. Good luck!

While it may not have been the best ever, I distinctly remember my 8th birthday. It involved waiting forever for friends we were staying with while traveling showed up in hot weather, balancing our feet on top of a car full of apples in boxes, DIY clown crafts, and a surprise ice cream cake. It's always stuck in my mind!
ReplyDeleteHey Girl! Happy Birthday!
ReplyDeleteBest Birthday...I'm going to have to go with the day I was born...what a wonderful world to be in!
The cards look beautiful!
My best birthday ever was probably when I turned 13. We did the whole makeover thing where Mom helped out with makeup and crimped hair :) We did a dance, video taped it and ate popcorn and ice cream with movies.
ReplyDeleteI hope this year will be the 2nd best birthday since we're getting away to Cabo!!!

Last year, I moved down to San Jose from Vancouver, Canada, for work. All of my family, including aunts, uncles, cousins, etc. are still in B.C.
ReplyDeleteBut last March, my parents, brother, and sister-in-law all came down for the week of my birthday; we spent the entire weekend exploring the area and doing very lame but fun touristy things. Best birthday ever! (so far)
Hope your birthday is just as awesome! Happy birthday!
Happy birthday! :) I hope you have fun on your trip!
ReplyDeleteA fun birthday memory for me was when my fiance planned a little surprise get together at my apartment. We came home from a family vacation and I wasn't expecting it at all. I felt so special and really surprised!
The best birthday I ever had was my 21st . . . although not for the reasons you'd think. I was in the midst of pre-final papers, and spent most of the day holed up in my room. My pseudo-boyfriend at the time somehow managed to make it perfect anyway (a feat, considering how my birthdays always seem to fall far short of happiness). He took me out to lunch at Olive Garden (which, for poor college students, is fine dining), and several times throughout the day said with a gentle affection in his voice, "Happy Birthday, Tasha."
ReplyDeleteI don't know how to describe it well. His actions were incredibly simple, but very heartfelt, and even now (years later, with a different boyfriend that I wouldn't trade for anyone else), the memory still gives me the warm fuzzies. I think it was the first time in my life I really believed that someone appreciated me for all of me.
Have a lovely birthday! Surprises are awesome! And your giveaway is gorgeous.
ReplyDeleteMy best birthday was spent at Oktoberfest in Germany; I was living there on an exchange program and had just been dumped by my boyfriend. I went with two friends to the festivities and had the time of my life. I also met a guy! I was 22 and that was all it took to make it the most memorable birthday of all -- friends, foam, and flirtation!
Lovely cards! I'll have to think about my best birthday ever. It it a tie between my 21st birthday and my 32nd.

I think my best birthday was my 32nd. I had just finished up a big project at work and actually was praised for it from my supervisor, who never really acknowledged individual people on his staff. That night I left to spend a long weekend in the mountains with several college friends. We rented a small cabin and spent our time enjoying the quiet sounds of nature and catching up with each other. It was just so peaceful and relaxing and a great joy to spend that time with my good friends.

These cards are simply gorgeous. I love exploring your blog and can't wait for the etsy shop to reopen.
ReplyDeleteI've had some wonderful birthdays, but I think my best was my 40th, which I celebrated on the day after returning home from my honeymoon. I was 100% happy and couldn't imagine a better present.
Sandy (yup, it's me!)
Hi from Morgantown! Here's entry #1.

I hope I read the rules right that we can enter twice... My best birthday was when I turned 11 and got to finally start taking those gymnastic lessons I had been begging for years for. I only realized how amazing it was years later when I was old enough to understand what a sacrifice it was for them to pay for the lessons at that time. Since then I've tried to make my birthdays more about spending quality time with the people I love than about getting really expensive presents. (But I won't say no to one!)
