Sixty-eight

It's 68 degrees outside now, and it's going to keep on getting warmer. Tomorrow it is supposed to be near 80. This means that it will probably freeze by the middle of next week (welcome to spring time in the Rocky Mountains!). But until then, we're all enjoying the warm weather, including the apricot tree, which is covered in lovely white blossoms.

Know who else is enjoying the warm weather? Sadie Bug. I put one of her beds on the back patio, where she likes to snooze away the afternoon.

  3. It's too late to bring a branch inside... On Saturday it was 80 degrees and every bud on the plum and apricot trees opened up. Then on Sunday it snowed and then hailed and hovered right above freezing all day. When I woke up on Monday morning, everything was covered with frost, so I think the fruit on those trees is history this year! But the flowering quince bushes are just getting started, and I always bring in a lot of their branches.

And Sadie has resumed her position in front of the wood stove for now. :)
