What's your color?

This is interesting. True Value Paint has a color quiz.

I think their description of my personality is mostly accurate:

"You are quite the powerful thinker. It’s this talent that allows you to overcome a plethora of great obstacles. Luckily, this doesn’t affect your ego and you give off a pretty easy-going appearance. You enjoy the finer things in life and also have an attraction to art. If you can help it, you try not to rock the boat. But you also can’t stop yourself from searching for new ideas, methods or styles."

But they say my color is yellow. I have never thought of yellow as something I want in my life except for sunshine, sunflowers, and lemons. Interesting.

So what color are you?

  1. My colour is apparently black:
"Nothing can stand between you and your demand for a calm environment. To be free of conflict and disagreement is the only way to live. In fact, it’s this philosophy that probably allows you to be comfortable in conditions that would normally bother others. Your ability to focus is undisputed, and while you enjoy attention, you still have problems understanding how to handle it. No other color out lives by the golden rule as much as you do."

I think I can only agree with half of that. There is definitely a lot of black in my life (furniture, clothes) although I prefer red tones.

What's funny is that by changing the answers I waffled on at first (season and adjective) it gave me red, and I'd say I agree with this one just as much (definitely that last sentence!):

"You boast incredible willpower and are capable of overcoming obstacles that would normally leave others shaking in their boots. You have a penchant for colorful environments and often impress others with your energetic bursts of energy. Your interests in many areas of life often leave you scattered, but when you focus you can accomplish anything you put your mind to."

  2. I feel like the last sentence of red definitely applies to me! And I definitely tend to like red a lot more than yellow...

  3. I'm Gray...can I confess that i kinda hate the color gray...even with all the hoopala about it, it just is not my thang!

"Open-minded is the perfect way to describe you. In fact, people often marvel at your ability to try new things. Gentle, relaxed and self-assured, Gray people have the valuable ability to be everyone’s friend. Touting an eye for the aesthetic, your skill for working well with others often leaves others feeling jealous."

  4. It may come as a giant surprise that Weimaraner gray is my favorite color (especially when combined with a plum purple)! :D

  5. I got red, but I really wanted to get burnt umber... just kidding (remember that crayon?). I wanted to get green. But red, me? Last time I took this quiz (or something like it), I think I got green. So maybe your color can change over time. I have to admit I like that last sentence...

  6. So fun :) My sister's favorite color is yellow. :) I did it and it said mine was brown. I agree :)

If it’s in the outdoors, it’s for you. It’s probably this appreciation for Mother Nature that leaves you with a calm appearance. Not attracted to anything bizarre, you’d prefer to keep your distance from the latest fads or styles. You swing to the conservative side, and are comfortable when everything is in it’s place. While you enjoy other’s company, you feel most relaxed when it’s just you, yourself and you.

  7. Oh my goodness. I am so, so brown!

(Which I guess fits, because although my favorite color is Weimaraner gray, I've always thought of the color of Sadie and Simon as somewhat like a glass of chocolate milk.)

How the heck did I get yellow?!?
