Snow in summer

Yesterday evening it was about as perfect as it could be outside, so Lachlan and I took a quick tour of the backyard to see how much weeding I still need to do. I was amazed by how much the lamb's ear has grown in the last two weeks, but I was absolutely floored by the snow in summer! It is all blooming now and has grown from tiny four-inch plants last year to a mass of silver and white that in some cases is almost three feet across!

My blue flax, Jupiter's beard, catmint, and columbines are all in full bloom now. Ah, all that hard work last summer is starting to pay off! Now if only I could find the time to finish the rest of the side yard...

  1. It all looks stunning! It should be amazing by summer. The title of your post made me think you would be showing us snow! My hubby told me it snowed in Denver yesterday!!
