Hot off the press

Geez, I was starting to think this day would never come! I finally put the rollers and ink on my newest press today, and I spent the better part of an hour this afternoon adjusting the roller height so she'd print like she did back in 1888.

Next up, I'm going to work my way through all of the antique type I have, in all the various fonts and sizes, so that I can print samples of everything. My ultimate goal is to have everything available for printing personalized cards and stationery. It will take a while to get samples of all the fonts and sizes, but I'm setting a goal to have at least three different layouts for cards and one for stationery with at least 8 different fonts by mid-October, so that I have them in time for people to order for Christmas. It's a rather ambitious goal considering all the other irons I have in the fire right now, but I work best when under a deadline!

Here's a peak at the very first official samples: two cards I did (one vertical and one horizontal) with my initials in lowercase 48pt Onyx. Yahooey!

Speaking of letterpress, did you enter the giveaway yet? Note that because I'm catching up for August's giveaway, I'll pick two winners, so each person can enter up to two times. And if the chance to win some cute animal cards isn't enough reason to enter, let me just say I have a few other things up my sleeve that will make it worth your while to enter. :D

  2. Hi Billie! Yeah, isn't that font great? I have it in a variety of sizes, so I can't wait to print some more samples of it.

And yes, just leave two separate comments and that will enter you into both giveaways. :D

  3. Very sharp font! I love the look of all lowercase letters as a monogram.
