It may be mid-November around here, but I have weddings on the brain lately. Saturday night I printed the last two colors of a three-color invitation I did for a very nice couple in New York. I'll show you some photos of that set later this week. It was a bit of a challenge, but I'm happy with how they turned out.
I'm also planning to launch a line of wedding invitations next year, so I'm trying to get a jump start on things by printing some samples now while I still can. Here's the first design I'm printing. Last week I showed you how it looked in just one color, and here it is in two colors, both an orange and hot pink and again using two shades of blue.
What do you think? Do you prefer the sample in shades of blue or the one in pink and orange?

hmmm, I like both alot, but think the contrasting pink and orange looks more lively. I ordinarily love blue though, so maybe if the darker blue was combined with a soft/sage green I would like it even more.
ReplyDeleteack! And I cannot believe I just typed alot as one word. Long day already and it's only 5 o'clock, oy.
ReplyDeletei LOVE the way the pink and orange just POP with color but the blue is so nice and subtle. i can see a blue and silver/grey...
ReplyDeleteor a bright yellow and green invite. makes me want to get married all over again just so i can have these invites!
Ok...I love these so much...I am thinking of getting re-married.
ReplyDeleteNaw. Nevermind
22 years this December.
Yay us. :)
Thanks for the opinions! I can see this invitation looking good in so many different color combinations...
ReplyDeleteLinda: WOW! Congratulations! Yay you!
So since I began following your blog, I've thought, when/if I get married, I want this woman to do my invites. At the time, though, I wasn't sure if you were doing them. So glad you are!
ReplyDeleteThese are just gorgeous. The blue is more my style, but the pink/orange are SO pretty. I'm less of a fan of the smiling suns (in your other post), but the artistry of the printing is admirable.
=D
Happy Thanksgiving, Melissa, to you and your family ... and to everyone else. This is a terrific blog!
ReplyDeleteTasha, thanks so much for the nice compliment! :)
ReplyDeleteRoz, thanks very much, and I hope you had a fantastic Thanksgiving! :D
